About This Journal
A Welcome Message from the Editor-in-Chief
It is with great pleasure that we celebrate the launch of The Lahey Journal, a new open-access publication sponsored by The Lahey Clinic and Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts. The Lahey Journal is an academic forum to communicate and disseminate original scholarly work that advances discovery, clinical care, and quality improvement for learning health systems.
The imperative to transform healthcare to be more equitable and effective has never been more urgent; the evaluation and study of these healthcare innovations, new ways to train health professionals and the intersection of the two are the focus of the journal. The Lahey Journal aims to be inclusive of diverse views and perspectives from our interdisciplinary community including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, scientists, educators and others.
The journal will publish discoveries, best practices, perspectives, and commentaries in healthcare delivery science, advances in the equitable care of patients and populations as well as innovations in training and wellbeing across the health professions.
We welcome submissions on a broad range of topics including advances in quality, safety, and healthcare delivery; cost effectiveness and ethical challenges; innovations in simulation, training and interprofessional education; interventions in diversity, equity, and inclusion; and workforce development.
We are delighted to have you join us as readers, as authors, and as reviewers.
